Scrumptious Scotch Pancakes!

You know those sudden cravings that just come out of no where and for no reason? Well the other day I had a craving for scotched pancakes, my sister used to make these all the time back when I was younger and I loved them! I also had some when I was in America a few years ago and then just sort of completely forgot about them so decided to make myself some. 

The great thing about these certain kind of pancakes is that they literally go with ANYTHING for me though eggs and scotch pancakes are perfect and they go so well together and it's all just so tasty! If you would like to make some your own I'll post the recipe that I used down below but there's plenty more recipe's out there they're pretty much the same though just a few little changes.

For this recipe you will need

• 300g self raising flour
• 60g Caster sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 200ml milk
• a little bit of vegetable oil

Start by sieving all the dry ingredients into a bowl and make a well in the middle, then add your eggs and milk into the well. Mix until the mixture is thick and looks ready.

I put a little bit of sunflower oil and butter into the pan before I put the mixture in. Make them whatever size you like and then once you see bubbles on top of the pancake mixture and it starts bubbling that's when you know you need to flip it over. 

And there you have it, some very yummy scotch pancakes! Enjoy!

Bicester Village Shopping Trip

Evening everyone!
I've just got back from a lovely day spent in Bicester village, It was my friends birthday yesterday so we went on a little shopping trip. If you don't know Bicescter Village it's just a 'village' with some designer shops. Okay, So I have never bought anything designer in my life and honestly I am never fussed if an item of clothing is designer or if it's high street end. If i'm completely honest I don't really like spending hundreds on a piece of clothing where as I know some people prefer that but for me I love purchasing things from the high street. We had fun just strolling in and out designer shops and imagining all the things we could buy if we ever won the lottery. 

We first got some breakfast at one of the loveliest/cosiest Starbucks I've been to, It felt like we were In France in one of those cute little French huts. 

We pretty much went in almost every shop. It all looked so pretty with the Christmas lights and the decorations.

I ended up getting a couple of things from a couple of shops, nothing very pricey but it felt fun to sort of 'flash' your bags around feeling like your a celebrity with your Items you purchased from the designer shops. 

This top I purchased was only £10, they had some really good sales on. I didn't try it on but when I first saw it, it looks really comfy and cosy and I loved the stripes. 

I then really adore this peachy colour and thought that would be really cute to wear in the summer. This was £20 which isn't too bad at all. 

Then after walking round for a couple of hours we were starting to feel hungry and found this lovely Italian restaurant. Our waitress was really friendly and the food was delicious! 

Photographs & Memories

One of my all time favourite things that have been invented on this earth are camera's, I love the way we can capture a special moment and have that memory in a photo forever. Photography has always been a favourite hobby of mine and is something that I would love to pursue as a career. I always find myself looking back on photo's, smiling and re living those moments and remembering those great times.
For my 21st birthday my mum and dad made me a 'Book of memories' which had photo's from the past and cute little things that they wrote, things that my friends made me or things which I created when I was little and they stuck all of those on each different pages. They did this for my brother and sister too. I thought it was such a sweet and creative idea and It's something that I would absolutely love to do for when I may have kids in the future. So I thought I would just share a couple of those moments/photo's with you in this post. These pictures aren't in the best quality although most of them are pretty old anyway! I'll let you in a little secret, I took photo's of these photo's because I haven't managed to find out how to work our scanner yet!

The older photo of me funnily enough wasn't when I was 21 I think I was actually around 17/18 at that time. My image/look has changed a lot throughout the years I have grown up, I have always looked younger than I am and have always sort of had that 'baby face' haha.

One of the things I most remember about my childhood is going down to my grand parents house In Doncaster. They had one of the most beautiful houses I have ever been in, with the biggest garden so we would always run around and play games. They even had a stream at the end of the garden where we would have picnics, go fishing or we would just relax and have fun.

Our trip to Disney land, I don't remember much I think it rained a lot! But one of the main things I would love to do is go back there again.

New year, new goals?

It's the last month of  The year which means the new year is soon to arrive. And this is when we find ourselves making new goals for the next year as we like to call them 'New year resolutions' I like this idea and then at the same time I don't. 

As someone who is always setting myself new goals for the next year to come I have never been successful with those but I still make them anyway knowing that I have something that I would like to achieve. I think it's great that we set ourselves goals and things we would like to succeed with but why should we wait until the new year to do so? I think sometimes it's just an excuse so people don't have to do them 'now' maybe we are too afraid to try them at this very second? I know sometimes it makes more sense starting the resolutions after new year depending on what your goals are that might be the sensible time to start them, but I think we should try an succeed those goals as soon as we can. I know that I have a lot of bad habits that I would like to throw away and so really I shouldn't be waiting till next year to stop them I should be starting now that way I will be more successful because I can get that out of the way. 

But even so I know it's fun to make new goals to challenge ourselves and new year resolutions and whether you succeed in them or not at Least you know what you would like to achieve and you know it's always in the back of your mind and you'll find the right time to achieve those.

Primark/Christmas Themed Haul

I went and did a bit of shopping the other day, well I say a 'bit' y'know a bit and then some...
The main reason I went shopping was to buy presents for other people, of course I come back home having only bought one present and then the rest was for me but hey, I blame Primark for that! I came into the shop thinking that it was one of the small/not so great stores but oh no this one went on and on, obviously not as big as the london one but this one was pretty big. Soo, thought you may like to see what I treated myself to? A lot of it is Christmas themed, I'm a sucker for Christmas themed clothes which seems to have started of as a bit of a trend in the last couple of years.

I am sorry in advanced that I can't quite remember the prices of these Items because I have torn of the labels. I first spotted this Jumper which has shiny sequense on it, at first I wasn't so sure if I liked it or not but I saw this light grey shade and It reminded me of Christmas and it looked cosy so i went and put it in my shopping bag. And may I say having warn it a few times since buying it, it's really cosy and comfy to wear and it keeps you warm too!

I then needed some new trousers/leggings and noticed these which I really liked when I first saw them. I didn't think I would ever go for high wasted jeans I don't know why I guess I just never felt brave enough? But I find these really comfy and I loved the colour and pattern. 

At the corner of my eye I noticed a whole section of Christmas leggings, I thought these were adorable with the cute little penguines and the hearts. 

I then thought this cardigan was super cute, I loved the patters and the colours.

Now I don't normally wear gloves but I just thought the snowman gloves were adorble! I wasn't so sure on the seal gloves at first but they're special gloves for when you use your phone and they were only £2 or around that so I just went ahead with them, they had different animals ones but these felt more simple and not so 'in your face' as the others. 

I have never felt so strongly in love with a pair of shoes before, I'm normally quite fussy when it comes to shoes but I saw these on the shelf looking pretty and it was like they were calling out to me. I absolutely love them! They're all woolly and soft inside which is great for when it's cold and I just really, really love everything about them!

I'm sorry that the focus on some of these pictures aren't so great, my camera has been playing up recently and I'm still trying to figure out what's wrong with it. 

They have a selection of these jumpers with different animals, as a cat lover I had to get the cat one! Although I may go back and buy myself the bunny one because that was really sweet too! 

I wanted to show you the inside of this jacket It's woolly which just makes it super cosy and warm it's perfect for me to wear when I leave the house at 5.30 am for work and for when I walk in the cold.

And that's pretty much what I got, there was the odd couple of things which I seem to have put somewhere that I can't quite remember so didn't manage to put them in this post. But I absolutely love Primark around the winter time, I love me some cosy/warm jumpers and just wrapping up warm in the winter. 

I'm getting excited for Christmas! :)

Counting down the days...

Morning everyone! 

I can't believe that it's actually December already, this year has flown by and I'm sure that as each year passes they go quicker and quicker! So it has already reached December month, my favourite month of the year (I wonder why). Yes, I am a Christmas lover, everything about Christmas excites me the lights, the carols, the films, spending time with family. A lot of my favourite memories have come from spending time with family over Christmas. 

I find that as each Christmas passes and another one arrives there's never usually something that I desperately want, I just let people buy me whatever they think I may like because after all It's not about the presents. Although having said that one of my favourite things to do is buy presents for people whether it's Christmas presents, birthday presents or just gifts in general I love the feeling of buying something for somebody. 

Something I am most looking forward to is just spending time with my family and relatives. I realise that those moments are precious because as time has gone on we have lost some special people to us. It started of having all our family around where there would be a lot of us about 10 and more, but now sadly the number has gone down. It's brought us closer together and we appreciate each other. 

So Christmas for me isn't about the presents It's about the laughter, the smiles and making memories.
