The quickest way to make an Eaton Mess!

Hey all!
Back with a recipe post for you, although I have to say it's not really a recipe as such It's all pretty much common sense haha but thought I would give you a helping hand along the way if you are new to making 'Eaton mess' and this is something that will take you literally 10 minutes to make.
Eaton mess has got to be one of my favourite puddings and the other day I had a sudden craving for it. Usually I'm a lover of baking but I just wasn't in the mood to spend ages on making a pudding that was mostly just going to be for myself.

Grab yourself some strawberries, meringue's & cream from the super market that's all your going to need. Pour out the amount of cream you'd like your Eaton Mess to have and because It's been cooling in the fridge you'll need to leave it out for a short while until it's warmed up a bit.
Once you feel it's at room temperature go and get yourself a Whisk and whisk away with your cream, whisk for about 5 minutes (I find whisking quite satisfying) if you find yourself lost in time another way to know the cream is thick enough is to lift the whisk up and if it leaves  trail then you know it's done.

Take your meringue's and crush them up into a bowl, add in your strawberries and then pour the cream.
It really is that easy. Of course that's the lazy way of making Eaton Mess but if your not a baker or you urgently need to make a pudding, it's so simple and quick to make.

Have fun eating it!

Delicious fruity frozen treats!

Chocolate coated strawberries & Chocolate coated banana with a little peanut butter

To me there's nothing better than having frozen fruit on a hot summers day, of course Ice cream is great! But at least with these it's a little healthier. They're so simple and quick to make.

You can use any fruits you like but I went with strawberries and banana's. It's strange because I don't like strawberries but I love them frozen and espcially covered in chocolate!

I used two types of chocolate. For the strawberries I used Galaxy and for the banana's I used cooking chocolate.

Chop up your banana's and place them on a sheet of greese proof paper. I didn't put peanut butter in all of mine because some people in my family don't like peanut butter, very weird! (not that I'm calling you weird if you don't like peanut butter... ) But if you do choose to use peanut butter just spread as much as you want on top of the banana. Melt your chocolate and literally just either dip your fruit in the heavinly chocolate bowl or use a spoon to pour the chocolate on top of the fruit.
Then leave them to freeze over night, and while your sleeping you'll be dreaming of those tasty treats you'll be having the next day!

A while back I came across Ingrid Nelson's video where she made those Banana treats and have been loving them ever since!

Hope you enjoy them! xxx

Delicious Easter Treats

With Easter just around the corner one of my favourite things about this time of year is baking tasty Easter treats! The typical Rice Crispy cakes go down a treat with every body and it's one of the quikest and simplest recipes out there. Having found this recipe on line I decided to try it out and it has become my favourite Rice cripsy recipes, not that there's a lot of different ways you can make them but there are a few different ones out there.

You Will Need

25g Butter
2 tbsp Golden Syrup
2 tbsp Caster sugar
100g Rice Kripies

Pour your Rice Krispies into a bowl and leave on the side ready for when you need it. Melt your butter, sugar and golden syrup until it starts to bubble then take the saucepan and pour the mixture into your rice krispies.

Mix the mixture and the rice krispies together (at this point it smells amazing)
Place some muffin cases into a cake tray and put in the rice crispy mix.
Take your mini eggs and place them onto your cakes (or of course you can decorate it however you like)

and that's that! You'll be left with some very delicious rice crispy cakes, enjoy!
